Neil and I love crock pot lamb chops. And the following email, inspired the cooking of this recipe.
Have just got a slow cooker and I think it's fantastic!
Would just like to know - my hubby likes lamb chops can I cook these on their
own and if so for how long? I have a 6.5litre cooker and it would be 4 or 5
chops.
Thanks!
Nicola, Spain
Hi Nicola
Thanks for the email.
I too just love lamb chops and on looking at my recipes was surprised that I don't have many crock pot lamb chop recipes - will have to rectify that.
This crock pot lamb chop recipe is delicious:-

Generally when cooking meat in the crock pot you will do it with a sauce and not cook the chops on their own. Because there is no direct contact with a heat source they will not brown.
Stay tunned to the site because you have inspired me to come up with some new crock pot lamb chop recipes.
This recipe is for you Nicola.
These Japanese crock pot lamb chops are very savory, not as sweet as some of my other meat dishes and had a definite 'Japanese' flavor.
Japanese Style Crock Pot Lamb Chops
8 Lamb Chops
1/4 cup Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon Honey
1 tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
2 tablespoons Sherry
2 cloves garlic; crushed
1 teaspoon Ginger; ground
1/2 cup chicken stock
Put the chops in the crock pot. You could brown first if you like but I did not and they looked great when done.
Mix all the other ingredients in a small bowl and pour over the chops.
Put on the lid and cook for about 8 hours on low. I did stir about half way through but this is optional.
Just before serving, I spooned out some liquid into a small saucepan. I added about a tablespoon of corn flour to a little water so it dissolved and added this to the sauce. Boil for a minute, stiring until it thickens.
Pour over chops and enjoy.
We served with a mixture of beans but would be delicious with creamy, mashed potato.
