Crock Pot MidSommmer's Beef Stew Recipe
2 - 3 lbs London Broil or any other cut of beef
1/2 C water
Spoonful of olive oil
1 pkg Lipton dry soup mix (onion or onion variety)
1 large can cream of mushroom soup
1 small can beef or brown gravy
4 garlic cloves, sliced in half lengthwise
8 oz fresh mushrooms, either sliced or whole
3 - 5 carrots, chopped
1 medium onion, quartered
1 medium tomato, quartered
In the morning, put meat in crock pot.
Add water and the rest of the ingredients.
Turn on low, stirring after 2-3 hours.
Go shopping, clean the house, watch TV, take a nap, and, that evening at dinnertime, pretend to have slaved over a hot stove all day.
For Chicken Stew, use 5 large boneless chicken breasts instead of beef, substitute chicken or turkey gravy for beef gravy.
All other ingredients are the same.
