Crock Pot Mushroom Chicken Pasta Recipe
5-6 chicken tenders (or 2 boneless chicken breasts) (trim off excess fat)
1 box ziti or rigatoni
1 can (10 3/4 oz) Campbell’s fat-free mushroom soup
4 oz. sliced portabella mushrooms
1 large onion – sliced in wedges
1/2 cup white wine
Salt and ground pepper to taste
Arrange chicken flat at the bottom of stoneware.
Season generously with salt and ground pepper.
Cover with mushroom soup, wine, mushrooms and onions.
Mix liquid slightly without moving chicken.
Cook on low 3-4 hours.
Add fresh thyme to stoneware near end of cooking time.
Cook pasta on stove according to package directions.
Drain and serve chicken and mushroom sauce over pasta.
If you would like to add peas or another vegetable, it takes just as great!
