Crock Pot Pork Chop Surprise Recipe
|
|
|
After reading this recipe I have decided that Neil and I have not been eating enough pork chops lately. Which is dreadful considering that my family once grew pigs!
I just love Cindy's suggestion of adding apple slices to the dish - sounds most delicious.
But before I get questions about quantities - use the amount you need to feed your family and what will fit in your crock pot. The one can of soup will go a long way but if using an enormous pot then use 2. The good thing with the crock pot is that quantities are not that important. And no there is no need to add any water.
This wonderful recipe from Cindy has been entered in our Crock Pot Recipe Contest August 2008 - Good luck Cindy.

Crock Pot Pork Chop Surprise Recipe
Baby Carrots
Italian Style Green Beans
Potatoes
Boneless Pork Chops
Cream of Celery Soup
DIRECTIONS:
Turn Crockpot on low
Add baby Carrots, Green Beans, Sliced potatoes(do not slice too thin).
Brown pork chops well in a little bit of Olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
Place pork chops on top the veggies and add the Cream of Celery soup
I cook on high for 1 hour and then turn to low for 5 or 6 hours depending on
the thickness of the chops.
Notes
Sometimes I add a little garlic and onions to the chops when I am browning them and then add them to the crock pot.
I have also added sliced apples on top the veggies and under the chops.
