Sounds delicious! Neil and I can't wait to serve this dish at our next family gathering!
This dish seemed very sweet to us and we were not just sure what to serve it with. So we asked Debbie for some more information.
Thank you for your compliment! I always serve it at Thanksgiving with the traditional turkey menu. My mom is the sweet potato lover and she expects it then but I make it for her about once a month through the year. She likes it with anything really, but especially with pork chops or pork roasts.

Crock Pot Sweet Potato Maple Pecan Marmalade Casserole Recipe
6 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced
3/4 cup maple syrup
3/4 cup orange marmalade
1/4 cup pecan pieces
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons salted butter
Butter the crock pot interior.
Layer sweet potatoes and bits of the butter.
Combine syrup, marmalade, cornstarch, pecans and cinnamon and pour sprinkle over the sweet potatoes.
Cook on low for 7 to 9 hours.
During the last hour of cooking, you can put some marshmallows on top it you like.
Serves 6.
The amount of syrup and marmalade is up to your taste.
If you like a lot of sweet sauce to scoop up with your sweet potatoes, add more, but do it in equal amounts.
