Crock Pot Turkey Chili Recipe

2 medium onions, chopped fine
2 lb. turkey meat
saute onions in olive oil. brown meat in a separate pan.
add both onions and meat to your crock pot, then add 1 green pepper (cored, seeded, and cut into 1/4 inch pieces), 4 med. garlic cloves (pressed), 1/2 T ground cumin, 2 tsp dried oregano, 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, 2 T brown sugar, 1/2 tsp paprika, 3/4 cup tomatoe sauce, 2 (15 oz) cans of dark red kidney beans, 1 (28 oz) can of diced tomatoes, 2 ounces tomatoe paste, 2 T fresh parsley (chopped finely).
Cook on high heat for one hour then lower to low for 2- 4 hours.
Sprinkle low fat cheddar cheese on top for a healthy high protein low fat meal! ENJOY!
Turkey is a fantastic low fat alternative and I'm sure every one will enjoy this.
I'm sure you could addapt this recipe to use up left over turkey which we always seem to have heaps of at Christmas.
