Kathy's Crockpot Chuck Roast

This is great!
I usually put in on just before going to bed at night or when I leave to go to work in the morning. Set it to low and it will be done when I get home from work. And in the morning the aroma is great after cooking all night on low. I usually fix mashed potatoes and gravy. (mmmm good)
1 - Chuck Roast (3-4 lbs - 2kg)
1/2 - Green Bell Pepper
1/2 - Onion
salt and pepper
Salt and pepper on both sides.
Place roast in crockpot.
Cut up bell pepper and onion, sprinkle on top of the roast.
Add just enough water to cover the bottom of the crockpot.
Put the lid on the crockpot and cook on low 8 to 10 hours. Or on high 4 to 5 hours. (do not lift lid)
The chuck roast is a great cut for the crock pot and once again we see how easy it is to make a tasty meal with little effort.
