Orange Roast Pork

Fruit and meat so often work so well together and this pork and orange is no exception. Delicious to the last bite.
It tasted great.
And for a sauce we strained the juices left in the crock pot, blended in 1 tbsp of cornflour (cornstarch) and boiled until it thickened. However, it was a bit bland. So next time I would use half the juices and add the juice of an orange - and see how that went.

Orange Roast Pork
|
| Ingredients |
| 4½ lb (2kg) |
pork roasting piece |
| 1 |
rind of orange, grated |
| 1 |
juice of orange |
| ½ tsp |
ginger, ground |
| Method |

| 1 |
Mix the orange rind, juice and ginger into a paste. |

Rub all over the pork. |
| 3 |
Put the pork in the crock pot. |
| 4 |
Cook for 6 to 7 hours on low or 3 to 3½ hours on high. |

| Delicious and moist. |

| Great as a cold cut. |
