Slow Cooker Chili
|
|
|
Chris has produced an amazingly delicious slow cooker chili recipe that is sure to become a favorite with you family.
Thanks Chris for this delicious sounding recipe but with a warning like that I'm not sure I'll let Neil have any - lol.

Mild but tasty sweet slow cooker chilli recipe
1kg minced steak beef
1 large onion
4 cloves of garlic
2 tins chopped tomatoes
1 tin red kidney beans
1 bottle blue dragon sweet chilli sauce
4 t/spoons hot chilli powder
2 t/spoons basil
1 t/spoon rosemary
1 t/spoon sage
200gms dark chocolate
1 half pint of dry oats(optional)
Fine chop the onion, squish or finely dice the garlic and fry off in a large
pan with 3 tblsp of cooking oil.
Add the beef cook gently till brown.
Chuck in everything else including the chocolate(broken into small pieces)and
give it a good stir.
Cook on hob on a low heat for about an hour.
If you prefer your chilli slightly thicker add the oats half way through,
although this recipe will thicken as it cools.
Chuck it on top of chips or a bowl of rice and top with some grated cheese.
(Warning: As with all chilli recipes this may give you varying degrees of wind approx 12
hrs later, probably... maybe?)
This should serve about 4 people depending how hungry you are and what you have
with it.
