Slow Cooker Meat Loaf Recipe

I buy Ground Beef in bulk and make it up into Meatballs and small Meat Loaves. You can use whatever ingredients you prefer.
For each pound of Ground Beef I add one egg, 1/2 package of Onion Soup Mix (Dry) and fine bread crumbs to make a mixture a little on the dry side.
Shape it into small Meat Loaves, the size that will do for a meal for two and left overs for sandwiches the next day.
Wrap in plastic & then tin foil to prevent freezer burn and after frozen put all together in a zipper freezer bag, label and store.
At noon or earlier if necessary, pour about an inch of bottled sauce (we like VH Orange & Ginger)in the bottom of your Crock Pot. Set frozen Meat Loaf in the sauce & pour the remaining sauce over & around the Meat Loaf.
You can add some sliced onions & baby carrots if desired.
Slow Cooker Meat Loaf is such a wholesome meal. And your tips about storing and processing are great.
Just a word of warning - some health 'experts' don't think one should put frozen meat in the crock pot (mind you I have done so and lived to tell the tale :-) but everyone make their own mind up!
