Slow Cooker Pumpkin Butter

Neil has tried a few crock pot jam and butter recipes but none were 'great'. So when, Jill offered some of her crock pot butter recipes, we thought we'd share them with you.

"I use a West Bend Brand Crockpot to do my jams - it's a six quart on a base.... pumpkin butter makes a great gift..in jelly jars or pints" Jill De.

You will need to play around with the recipe to work out what setting to use on your crock pot - we would suggest low as a starting point.

Crock Pot Pumpkin Butter

2 large cans of pumpkin
1/2 cup apricot nectar
1 cup sugar (I use Florida cane)
2 tbsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp nutmeg

Cook down 6-8 hrs, on setting 2 ....spoon into jars.
